1. Falco Time Management does not refresh screen when you select a name or card number

  • Falco Time management software is only compatible to Microsoft Office 98, 2000 Premium, 2000 Professional and XP. It does not compatible with Microsoft Office 2000 SR-1 (tested with).

2. How to install FALCO-TIME?

  • The Falco-Time is already install in to your computer when you install the FALCO-ECOM. Open the software FALCO-ECOM, go to Setup\Change Lunch Path to set the location Falco-Time (FalcoTime.mdb). then only your button Lunch application can be use.

Q. Battery voltage?

  • v12

Q. Why transaction keeping show Battery Low?

  • The Controller will check the battery in every 1/2 hour, so if that battery voltage below v11.7. then it will show Battery Low on the screen if your Falco-Ecom is on.
  • Make sure battery have fully charge. A fully charge battery will have v12.5 and above, it need 8 hour to charge.
  • Make sure charger have voltage out in v12.7 or above.
  • IF All "OK", it might be Controller problem. then Please take down the version of the controller from the customer. and refer to Trachnical.

1. What is the Access Level using for?

  • The Access Level help you to group the access of the CardDB to the door controller.

2. How to set the Access Level?

  • Select the menu from "Setup \ Group Access \ Group Controller TimeZone Access". Select "Add" button or "Edit" button to add / Delete an Access level.
  • The Default Access Level is set only 72, so you only allow to have 72 Access Level.

3. What is the Group using for and how to use it?

  • Before set the Group access, the Access Level have to be Exist. This function is under Setup \ Group Access \ Group Controller TimeZone Access. It help you to upload the access of the door controller by a group of CardDB, so you can save your time.
  • Go to Setup \ Group Access \ Group Card Access, select the group no and tick the box beside the name of person that you want to put in this group.
  • Set the Access Level by select the row and click on the Access Level button for the Card User, after it done click on the OK button, and close this dialog box.

1. Why can not see the transaction on the remote PC?

  1. Make sure that the sqlsyncdir folder is shared on the server.
  2. Make sure that the transporter.exe is running.
  3. Make sure you can have access to the sqlsyncdir folder (eg: \\servername\sqlsyncdir)
  4. Make sure that you did not change the username and password of your FALCO-ENTERPRISE Server Site Controller.
  5. Please check your IP address for the server and remote so that its match.

2. No transaction receives from the controller to PC monitoring software. On the software itself shows Controller Down

  • Make sure that the connection between PCI and controller has been terminated correctly (Tx+ to Rx+). Is there any connection broken between PCI to PC (RS232 9 pin cable) and PCI to controller (4 core wires)?
  • If all the above had been terminated correctly but software screen still shows Controller Down, then you need to make sure you had select the correct COM port.
  • The second things are the address setting. In the software at Setup/Door Controller where the unit no. needs to be set the same as the address of controller.
  • The third things is the COMM speed is match with controller speed setting. By default, this is set high (9600 speed)

3. Can I print the Information for transaction with out Falco-Time?

  • Yes, but only whole the transaction.
  • The transaction for the reporting about employee information, and all the daily transaction need to use FALCO-TIME. So you have to install the Falco-Time before doing report.

Q. Why is the software shows controller down on the online polling screen?

  • It shows controller down because of few reasons:
  • The line has been terminated wrongly or connection broken between PCI and controller.
  • Address that is set between controller and PC software doesn’t match.
  • PCI powers have not yet turn ‘ON’.

Q. Can I set the Pin number for the CardDB, and use the Controller in pin and card mode?

  • Yes. You can set the CardDB to use Pin and Card Mode, then when the Card Holder open the door controller by using the Pin and Card Mode, the transaction will read the CarDB.
  • At the same time you can set the Controller Pin also, It will only read and verify the Pin for the Door Controller.

Q. Why I cant read the proper information for the door controller?

  • Make sure the unit number for the door controller is right.
  • If the setting for the door controller is wrong, the information will be wrong also.

Q. Why the doors have not change after I had make any changes?

  • You have to download the Data into the Door Controller, only it will take effect.
